I know this is not the author's
most famous book, but it is the first one I have read and now I MUST
check out the rest. I simply could not "peal" (oranges) away
from this lovely romance. I believe I will make this a "Jostein
Gaarder's collection" month. I hope the rest are just as
clean.
The tale is about a adolescent
boy discovering
a highly adventurous romance of his deceased father,
his place in the world and
tough choices (can I add "and tender mercies").
Wonderfully romantic and surprisingly profound. Overcome the
temptation to breeze through this book without a moment of
reflection.
