"There is really is no such
thing as Art. There are only artists."
~Sir Ernst Gombrich~
My artistic eyesight has been
heightened through the exploration of this book!
Feel intimidated by the art world?
Gombrich will most certainly put you at ease! The Story of
Art, published in 1950, was written for teens or newcomers to
the world of art in "plain language".
I have to admit that I have not read this book
cover to cover. It started out that way, but I was quickly
distracted digging up more info on each artists. This one is
to be bitten off in small pieces and enjoyed. Sometimes I just
pick it up and flip to a page and start right in. I am always
fascinated! I have successfully used this book for Family Home
Evening activities. Here is one FHE
activity.
~Happy Reading~

can do what we've done. Connect any undesirable pages together
